This is from a book I read about the Holocaust called "Daniel's Story"
Its very sad, but also very sweet in many ways.
I'm glad that Daniel survived, but I almost cried when Peter, (The blondie Daniel's helping in this pic) died.
So sad.
The theme of this is that as long as you are with people you care about, there is always hope.
As you can see in the corner, it says 1944, Auschwitz.
That was a concentration camp he was at. It was one of the worst...

although if you've ever read Night by Elie Wiesel, it is a LOT worse than daniels story, and on top of which it is a TRUE story. Its reaaaally heavy stuff but I suggest you read it
